The Hyunsong Education & Culture Foundation, Making a Pledge to UNIST for Additional Development Fund and Scholarship Support

The Hyunsong Education and Culture Foundation donated an additional ₩300 million to the development fund for UNIST in 2025, as well as this year, demonstrating its mission to continue to support research. With this donation, UNIST will be able to further strengthen the establishment of a research environment and the development of core research fields. In particular, the Hyunsong Education and Culture Foundation has additionally pledged to provide scholarship support for integrated master's and doctoral students. A total of 4 students per year (2 students in 2024) will be provided with ₩20 million each (₩80 million per year), thus fostering future research talents.
A UNIST official said, "The Hyunsong Education and Culture Foundation's consistent assistance aids in developing human resources and enhancing the research environment." He thanked the foundation and stated, "We will carry on the foundation's purpose and generate gifted individuals who can deliver outstanding research findings and benefit society." Through scholarship programs and academic research assistance, the Hyunsong Education & Culture Foundation has dedicated itself to the advancement of education and research since its founding in 1974 by the late Hyunsong Joo Chang-gyun. Additionally, this sponsorship is seen as a step toward implementing the foundation's philosophy and spirit of social commitment.

The Korean Institute of Bridge and Structural Engineers (KIBSE), Donated Development Fund of ₩ 10 million to UNIST

The Korean Institute of Bridge and Structural Engineers (KIBSE) has donated a designated fund of ₩10 million for the research and academic development of the Department of Civil Urban Earth and Environmental Engineering at UNIST. The fund will be used to strengthen the research environment of the department, and produce excellent research findings.
UNIST said, "The donation of the development fund by the KIBSE will help in improving the quality of sustainable research and education in the Department of Civil Urban Earth and Environmental Engineering," expressing its gratitude.
